We want you to have a fantastic time on your holiday. We recognise it's your holiday, not ours, so you're free to spend your time doing what best suits you. However a lot of our clients, particularly solo travellers ask us to point them towards destinations where there's a vibrant social scene where they can meet new people and make new friends while not on/under the water. All of our destinations provide various types of social activity, from the simple informal gatherings at the local bar through to organised chargeable events.

As you can appreciate, timetables and activities can vary but we've tried to give you a reasonably accurate indication of what to expect at the different resorts below. You can of course find more detailed information of what's available in a resort by viewing the location pages on our website or give us a call for more detail. We're always happy to call our partners at the resort of your choice to check what's going on when you travel.

LANZAROTE

If you travel to Lanzarote then that's where you'll meet us! When we've finished work for the day we go down to the bar below our office in Costa Teguise on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. There'll always be someone there from around 6:30pm. Wednesday evening (after a few drinks) we then host a Tapas dinner in a local restaurant. This is extra charge and costs whatever everyone eats!

These social gatherings are very popular and guests often tell us it's what makes an Active Adventures holiday so special!

DAHAB

Dahab is primarily a diving destination, although there are lots of other activities that can be arranged locally. Typically our guests all stay in the same hotel with other divers as the dive school is right next door. Evenings tend to be very social and all the divers mix and swap stories over a beer or two!

MARSA ALAM

As the eco-villages are full-board, people meet up at the bars/restaurants with their dive buddies. Very informal socialising, brilliant to chill out over some food and wine and get to know the people you dive with

FUERTEVENTURA

If staying in the Sol y Mar surf hostel, people meet on the terrace of the accommodation for a few drinks and can also organise themselves a BBQ.

Every Friday (during the summer) there is a BBQ at the Beach House for everybody (15 Euro extra charge covers food and drinks!)

CYPRUS

Very similar to Dahab, no organised social event, people meet after diving for a drink in a bar close to the dive centre. Our dive centre manager is a very sociable guy and makes sure everyone mixes together as a group and has a great time!

PORTUGAL

Everybody is staying in the same camp and eating together. Twice a week, they go to a local restaurant (extra charge) , Friday night is BBQ night!

SAFAGA

  Welcome Drink - All Year - Monday's at 5pm at the Surf Center

  Boat Party - April to October (provided no strong wind) - minimum 25 and maximum 50 people - 25 Euros   per person excluding drinks

  Toia Island Party - April to October (provided no strong wind) - minimum 35 people - 25 Euros per   person excluding drinks

  Yara Beach Party - All year (provided no strong wind) - minimum 30 people - 25 Euros per person   excluding drinks

  BBQ in the Dessert - (provided no strong wind and full moon!) price tbd

  BBQ in Diver House - All year - minimum 20 people - 10 Euros per person excluding drinks

  BBQ at Nemo Beach - All year - minimum 20 people - 10 Euros per person excluding drinks

  Diver House Bar (Maglis) - All year - informal social gathering

EL GOUNA

Monday Night BBQ's - The event is called Ja'Monday and it's a BBQ and live music Jamming Session, where musicians can take to the stage and perform. Our centre provides most instruments including, guitars, bass guitar, drums, percussion and microphones for singers. They also have house musicians who can accompany whoever wants to get up and play! Their bar has regular special offers and serves a variety of alcoholic and soft drinks, and the whole scene provides a nice relaxing atmosphere with the opportunity to party 'till the early morning if you want to!
