Diving Cape Verdes on a diving holiday has just started to become available. Yes, it's still virgin dive ground, and will soon become a hot spot for underwater explorers. Our diving holiday destinations include the Cape Verdes because they are on the same time line as the UK , and in only 5 hours you are only 14 o north of the Equator.

The Cape Verde Islands are home to stunning rock formations, caves, canyons, ledges and sharp wall drop-offs. Sea life is abundant. During the summer you can often see 3 foot trumpet fish, loggerhead or green turtles, 3 metre manta rays, the largest balloon fish you will find anywhere and schools of dolphins.

Off the northern coast of Boa Vista island we sometimes see 100-150 big yellow fin tuna breaking the surface and rocketing skyward! In March and April humpback and grey whales often appear off shore. We have large schools of barracuda, strawberry coloured coney grouper and clouds of beautiful reef fish, like the yellow-tailed snapper. Among our abundant population of eels (four major varieties), some have heads the diameter of footballs! Sal , santiago, we hope to be diving the whole of the cape verdes soon!

There are shipwrecks of all types in Cape Verdean waters. From Sal we have easy access to three very different and interesting wreck sites at depths of 9 to 12 meters. In the future wreck sites near Boa Vista Island will be made available for scuba diving tourists.
