world championships for adventure sports!
One of them being the series 4 World Surfing Championships held at San Juan, just to the left of Famara Beach. Others include the PWA World Windsurfing Championships, the hardest Ironman, world go-karting championships, many sailing regattas and triathlons, and not forgetting the off road car rally races.
Lanzarote has been named "the Hawaii of Europe" from
Board ride magazine. The Sunday Times voted Famara Beach, where you
will be surfing, as the "Best Beach in Europe for water sports!"
Lanzarote is considered one of the best places in the world for windsurfing and the perfect place to learn or take your wave riding to the next level. Active Adventures has combined with world renowned Club Nathalie Simon, Sportaway and The Active Centre. Our windsurfing holidays are based in the beautiful and vibrant resort of Costa Teguise - the heart of the island's windsurfing community. Las Cucharas is world renowned for its high winds and big wave riding. Warning we recommend extra insurance for addiction counseling for when you get home!
Diving in Dahab is delightful in more ways than one. It is no wonder why Dahab hosts 2 of the top 20 dive sites in the world as the exotic marine life is abundant and the sea bed is riddled with canyons and a diversity of coral gardens. Still relatively quiet, dahab diving is relaxed and peaceful. You often have the whole dive site to yourself and you can walk in from the shore to almost every dive site. I just wanted to say a big thank you to Cameron, Pati
and the rest of the Active Adventures crew. Our time on the island was
fantastic! It
was great to see so many investment bankers out enjoying the sunshine
and surf. I would gladly book another trip to hang with you kids! The
surprise wine-tasting was a treat and Ignacio's knowledge of the Islands
volcanic history was fab.

Hi Pati,
Cheers for an awesome almost-week. Am really missing Lanzarote and everyone

thanks for your email. We did really enjoy our holiday
in every way (apart from me being ill!!!). We had a great time
in all that we did and it was made especially relaxing by all the hospitality
and friendliness yourself and the rest of the Team showed us. Please
