First time & Improving Surfers: It's all about Famara beech. This soft sand based beach on the North West side of the island is the perfect place to learn how to surf and is blessed with perfect waves all year round. Intermediate & Experienced Surfers:

Unless you have been living in isolation for the past 2 decades you will know that Lanzarote has a deserved reputation for being one of Europe’s surfing hotspots and winter destinations. Whatever your preference, short and hollow or long and mellow, you’ll find it here.

From October through to April consistent swell pounds the lava reefs dotted along the North shore producing waves with near Hawaiian power. Average winter size is between 6ft – 10ft .

Lanzarote Surfing Beaches:

Famara Beach: World Famous beginners paradise, and all year round.

Muelle de Famara: Awesome surfing, but not for the feint hearted. Hazards include the rocky base and the locals.
